Contour Next Gen Companion App for iOS and Android by MedM

The Next Gen by Сontour blood glucose meter is integrated with the Health Diary app by MedM. The blood sugar readings can be automatically captured from the Next Gen unit and saved to the user's smartphone or tablet and, optionally, backed up to MedM Health Cloud. Users maintain full control over their health data and can at any time export the collected Next Gen measurements history as a file or altogether delete it.

All data in MedM Health Cloud is stored encrypted and cannot be accessed by MedM or any unauthorised party. MedM Premium allows users to sync health data with Apple Health and Google Health Connect, share access to records with family or caregivers, generate PDF & XLSX reports for the doctor, and receive notifications on custom thresholds, reminders, and goals.

How to Connect Contour Next Gen with MedM App

  1. Open the app -> from the Tab Bar select Devices -> tap the "+" button to start Bluetooth discovery
  2. Activate the pairing mode on Contour Next Gen: by pressing and holding the OK button to turn on the meter, then pressing and holding the "up" button for about 3 seconds on the Home screen, until the Bluetooth symbol lights up and the serial number is displayed at the top of the screen
  3. Once the meter is discovered by the app - select Contour Next Gen, configure device settings, and tap Add to My Devices
  4. When the popup with system pairing request appears - tap the Pair and Connect button
  5. Upon successful pairing a corresponding popup will appear
  6. The paired Contour Next Gen will be listed on the Devices screen
  7. Make a measurement on your meter to collect new data in the app

Please note that the app has to be running in foreground or background (configurable in settings) to receive new readings from Contour Next Gen.
