Omron BCM-500 Scale Compatible App for iOS and Android
While MedM is not affiliated with, recommended or approved by Omron, the BCM-500 body composition monitor integrates with the MedM Health Diary app, enabling automatic tracking and management of weight and body composition metrics. Users are not required to register with MedM to collect data from connected meters. Measurements taken with the BCM-500 scale are transmitted via Bluetooth to a smartphone or tablet, allowing users to store and organize their health data. For registered users, data is also backed up in the encrypted MedM Health Cloud.
MedM users can monitor long-term trends using clear charts, review individual measurements, and add notes or tags for better context and tracking. The platform also supports exporting data in CSV format for personal analysis or sharing with healthcare professionals.
MedM Premium members gain access to more features such as customizable goals and thresholds, smart notifications, PDF reports, secure data sharing, remote monitoring capabilities, and data sync with major health ecosystems including Apple, Google, and Samsung.

How to Connect Omron BCM-500 with MedM App
- Open the app menu -> select My Devices -> tap Add Device
- Press and hold the Bluetooth button on the Omron BCM-500 scale until "P" symbol starts flashing
- Once the Omron BCM-500 unit is discovered - select it, configure device settings, and tap Add to My Devices
- Upon successful pairing a corresponding popup will appear
- The paired Omron BCM-500 model will be listed on the My Devices screen
- Make a measurement on the Omron BCM-500 scale to collect new data in the app
Please note that the app has to be running in foreground or background (configurable in settings) to receive new readings from the Omron BCM-500 smart body weight scale.
